Garment District institution born in 1933 when Arch Bergoffen bought a French metallic-thread importer and renamed it, amassing antique tinsel threads, metallic trims, tassels, and vintage millinery flowers; his granddaughter Marcia Ceppos took over the West 37th Street shop in 1989, and Martha featured it repeatedly from the 1990s on. Seen here in a Season 5 ornament-making segment; the shop later relocated to Berkeley, California.
