Authentic Ming-style scholar's garden at the Staten Island Botanical Garden, Snug Harbor Cultural Center, opened in June 1999 after a team of 40 artisans from Suzhou, China assembled its pavilions, rockeries, and courtyards on site. MSL visited not long after the garden's debut.
