Orchid nursery established in 1954 in Carpinteria, California by horticulturist Aleck Stribling — who grew up on Montecito's orchid-laden Riven Rock estate — with father-and-son partners Emmet and Gary Gallup. It became the largest grower and distributor of cymbidium orchids in the United States, with roughly 48 acres of greenhouses; toured in a multi-part MSL field-trip segment.
