Village of 28 condemned or abandoned 18th- and 19th-century buildings — a 1793 tavern, 1836 church, and 1811 general store among them — dismantled board-by-board, moved, and reassembled by self-taught craftsman Don Carpentier on his family's farmland in East Nassau, NY, beginning in 1971. Home of the Historic Eastfield Foundation's workshops, the longest-running school of historic trades in the country; toured in a multi-part MSL segment.
