Second-generation Tennessee ham curer behind Rice's Country Hams of Mt. Juliet, east of Nashville — a family smokehouse business started by Ed Rice Sr. and carried on by Ed Rice Jr., whose slow-cured hams have won dozens of Grand Champion titles at state and county fairs since 1971. He presented his dry-cured country ham in the show's Nashville field-trip episode.
